Washes & Inks
The Washes and Inks, developed with a new resin, are used for shadows and for the application of colors in layers. When applied over a basecoat, they enter into the folds and grooves of the figure, and instantly brings forth the features. They can also be mixed with the regular colors, or with the Mediums.

At first I was looking for a replacement for Badab Black. When I saw the combination of the good price and the trusted brand of Vallejo, I was instantly taken. When I started using this ink however, I was surprised and disappointed to a small degree. It isn't the model ink that one would assume. It MUST be thinned and cannot be used directly from the bottle like other brands such as Reaper and Games Workshop. Thus, this ink requires indeed an artist's touch. When I was done using the ink to wash my project (a tank) I was pleased to see it performed well despite the fact that I had blundered a moment before because I was able to wash it off immediately with water. To conclude, this product is not to be underestimated because it performs well, but not to be mishandled either. It performs well, but only in the hands of one who knows how to control it, much like a pet. IF your pet is mishandled of not trained well, it will bite you. If you know how to handle your pet with love and care, the same will be returned.
