These pastel pencils are excellent for details, outlines, toning, coloring and various shading techniques. They are highly blendable. You can use them on smooth or rough paper.  The rich pigment is perfect for deep shading. Use a shading stump or your fingers to smudge.  After finishing your drawing, we suggest that you apply fixative to avoid further smudging.
